My sculpture ‘Divinity’ at Farleys House and Gallery

Divinity

There’s still time to visit Farleys, home of Lee Miller, and the sculpture garden where my ‘Divinity’ is placed, before it closes for the winter months at the end of October.

Below is an translated excerpt from Claire Guillot’s article in Le Monde July 2022: Reporter de guerre, photographe de mode, mannequin… Lee Miller, bien plus qu’un cliche

In Sussex, in the south of England, white sheep seem to have been placed in the fields as if to fit the clichés of the green English hills. “Farley Farm”, announces a sign in front of a large red brick house, surrounded by wooden buildings. Except that, on this farm, they don’t so much grow carrots as sculptures – about thirty have taken root all over the garden. Some of them have been there for a long time, such as this immense fallen giant by the sculptor Michael Werner, which has been lying in several pieces on the lawn since 1965. Others, more contemporary, are just passing through: sculptor Christine Kowal Post’s golden dog watches over the place for the whole summer, perched on a mast like a protective Egyptian god.
